Ticket Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a ticket, registering for, or attending this event, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizers. Event details, including schedules, programming, guests, and vendors, are subject to change without notice. The organizers reserve the right to deny admission or remove any attendee for conduct deemed disruptive or inappropriate. Attendees may be photographed or recorded for promotional and marketing purposes. The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Attendance constitutes acceptance of all event policies and procedures.
Author Terms & Conditions
Authors must be approved to participate in Indy Lit Con 2027. Authors are responsible for their own inventory, promotional materials, setup, and staffing unless otherwise stated.
A $50 deposit is required to secure participation and is non-refundable. All payments must be paid in full no later than January 24, 2027. The final day to register is January 24, 2027, and full payment is required at the time of registration.
No refunds will be issued after February 24, 2027. If an author cancels their registration prior to February 24, 2027, the $50 deposit remains non-refundable. Event schedules and signing times are subject to change without notice.
Authors agree to act professionally and respectfully toward attendees, staff, and fellow participants at all times.The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property or inventory.
Hotel Accommodations
The organizers are working to secure a hotel room block near the event venue for attending authors and their assistants. Authors are responsible for booking and paying for their own accommodations. Discounted room rates, if secured, will be shared once the room block is finalized.Authors who anticipate needing accommodations are encouraged to notify the organizers in advance to assist with planning.
Narrator Terms & Conditions
Narrators participating in the event agree to all scheduling as determined by the organizers, which may be subject to change. Participation fees, if applicable, are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizers. Narrators grant permission for audio, video, and photographic recordings to be used for promotional purposes. Professional conduct is expected at all times. The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Vendor Terms & Conditions
All vendors must be approved prior to participation. Booth fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizers. Vendors are responsible for their own setup, display materials, staffing, and compliance with all applicable local laws, licenses, and tax requirements. Vendors may not share or sublease booth space without prior written approval from the organizers. The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged merchandise. Vendors agree to conduct business professionally and respectfully throughout the event.

A $50 deposit is required to secure participation and is non-refundable. All payments must be paid in full no later than April 16, 2026. The final day to register is April 16, 2026, and full payment is required at the time of registration.
No refunds will be issued after February 16, 2026. If an author cancels their registration prior to February 16, 2026, the $50 deposit remains non-refundable.
AI Policy
Our convention is committed to supporting, celebrating, and promoting human-created literary works and the authors behind them.
For that reason, AI-generated or AI-assisted written content is not permitted in any written works presented, promoted, sold, or distributed by participating authors or vendors at our convention.
Written works presented at the convention are expected to be human-authored.
Honesty & Transparency
We recognize that artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving, and the publishing industry’s understanding of AI continues to evolve alongside it.
Our policy may evolve as we continue to learn, listen, and navigate these changes.
We understand that AI is a complicated and developing subject, and we do not claim to have every possible situation or circumstance figured out. Our priority at this time is to establish a clear standard that protects and celebrates human authorship while continuing to educate ourselves as technology changes.
Above all, we are asking our authors and vendors for honesty and transparency.
If a book or other written work you intend to bring to our convention contains AI-generated or AI-assisted written content, please disclose that information to our convention team before the event.
Being transparent allows us to understand the circumstances and determine how to appropriately handle the situation under our current policy.
We would much rather have an open and honest conversation beforehand than discover undisclosed AI-generated or AI-assisted written content during or after the convention.
Our Commitment
This policy is not intended to create hostility or judgment surrounding an evolving technology.
We also recognize that this conversation will continue to change. As artificial intelligence develops and the publishing industry continues to navigate its use, we will continue learning and evaluating our policy when appropriate.
In return, we simply ask our participating authors and vendors to work with us in good faith.
If you are uncertain whether something within your written work falls under this policy, please contact our convention team before the event so that we can discuss it with you.

Event Integrity & Community Standards Policy
We understand that no convention, organization, or community can make everyone happy and we do not expect to. Our goal is not to please every individual or follow every trend. Our goal is to create welcoming, professional, and enjoyable book events while operating with fairness, consistency, communication, and integrity.
In today’s online environment, concerns can spread quickly, and sometimes accusations are presented before complete information, context, or evidence is available. We believe people deserve more than decisions made through social media pressure, speculation, or public opinion alone.
When we accept an author, vendor, narrator, creator, or other participant into one of our events, we take that decision seriously. If a legitimate concern is brought to our attention, our approach is to listen, gather the available information, and communicate directly with the individuals involved whenever appropriate.
We will not participate in public attacks, online pile-ons, harassment, or reactionary “cancel culture.” We believe difficult situations should be handled professionally, privately when appropriate, and with respect for everyone involved.
This does not mean that we will ignore credible concerns, serious misconduct, safety issues, or behavior that violates our event policies. We reserve the right to take appropriate action when circumstances warrant it. However, those decisions will be based on the information available to us and our own policies not simply because public pressure demands an immediate response.
We do not follow trends. We follow our values.
Those values include fairness, respect, accountability, open communication, and giving people an opportunity to be heard. We will make our own decisions regarding the events we host and the individuals we welcome into them.
We recognize that not everyone will agree with every decision we make, and we respect that. In return, we ask our community to understand that disagreement does not automatically equal wrongdoing, and an accusation does not automatically establish fact.
Our commitment is simple: listen before reacting, communicate before assuming, evaluate before judging, and lead with integrity rather than pressure.
That is the standard we intend to bring to every event we host.
